Partners Blog: "To Keep Our Passion Intact"

Steve and Oddny Gumaer started Partners Relief and Development in response to the needs of refugees and displaced people from Burma, and now in the Middle East, as well. Their mission is to demonstrate, through holistic action, God’s love to children and communities made vulnerable by war in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other conflict zones.

“Let’s hope that the Nobel Peace Prize has some old fashioned power to awaken the world. To make us do something. Not only cry.”

I almost started to weep when I read this headline, written by Berit Fiske, in my local newspaper. My heart ached because I’m afraid that the stories told by the Yazidi women only makes us weep, and not act.
