ABILENE, TEXAS - Pastor Stan Allcorn believes he will give another Easter sermon in the years ahead, but there never will be another one quite like Sunday's message.

After 22 years at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, and 45 overall as a minister, Allcorn is retiring in August. His last message will be delivered Aug. 30, the final Sunday of that month.

He hopes to follow in the footsteps of previous PDBC pastor Jack Ridlehoover, who has continued his ministry even today. Ridlehoover pastored Pioneer Drive for 29 years.

But the final months of Allcorn's long tenure have been an adventure ...
