MIDLAND, TEXAS - Dear Fellow Midlanders,

As we all continue to adjust to the challenges we are facing with the coronavirus and the crashing economy, I am repeatedly brought back to the writings of four authors I have treasured in my life. Those four are – in historical and chronological order - the Apostle James, Victor Frankl, Stephen Covey and Dr. Edith Eva Eger. Allow me a brief minute to explain.

Each author writes from the perspective that hard, difficult and even unfair circumstances are to be expected in life. It is not for us to find a way to escape hard times but rather for us to choose how we will respond in tough and difficult times ...
