Founded in 2001, Free Wheelchair Mission is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to providing wheelchairs for the impoverished disabled in developing nations. Headquartered in Irvine, California, FWM works around the world in partnership with a vast network of humanitarian, faith-based and government organizations, sending wheelchairs to hundreds of thousands of disabled people, providing not only the gift of mobility, but of dignity, independence, and hope.

Friday Story: “COVID-19: Meeting Urgent Needs”

With the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading around the globe, and as part of our “Mobility Beyond Wheelchairs” program, we were recently able to provide one of our partners in El Salvador with essential medical supplies at a time when they are in high demand and short supply.

We are so thankful that, with your support, we were able to have distributed these items well in advance of the pandemic so that they were on-hand in their time of need ...
