WAW Wednesday ... A few quick photos to share ...

"The Word at Work is a ministry that mobilizes churches and individuals to answer God's call to minister to those in need," writes Rev. Tim Tam, Director of the Amarillo, Texas-based ministry. "Through our relationships, God reveals needs and opportunities for service. As we come along side the poor, new friendships develop and doors for ministry open. As we serve, God provides the resources to supply for the needs he reveals."

A few quick photos to share ...

Hello Friends,

I'm pretty amazed by technology - I'm sitting on an island in the Caribbean typing this message to you! Our Board has been meeting with partners this week - hearing their visions for ministry; asking them how we might be better partners; and praying to God with great thanksgiving for how together we are the Word at work!

We are on a break at the moment and I thought I would share a few photos that capture the joy - can't share them all here, but I think they tell a little bit of the story ...

Our team from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo have had a GREAT time working with friends in Valley of Peace. They've been building a bell tower (yes, they also brought the bell!) that is used to communicate concerns and news to everyone in VOP - there's a lot of excitement about this project! Additionally, the group has run a clinic for children, new moms, and Community Health Workers are receiving training. The group is also doing a sewing project together and a few other cement / construction projects. It's a beautiful thing to see and hear about all these friends are sharing together. In this photo the group is having breakfast at Banana Bank and preparing for the day ahead.

Is it time for your church to join us for a vision trip? Have you been to Belize previously and you'd like to rekindle your relationships there? Please give me a shout so we can talk about the possibilities! (806) 342-3600

Thanks for being the Word at Work!
