LUBBOCK, TEXAS - Even before Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Texas coast late Friday, the South Plains was taking action.

Medical personnel from Covenant Health System, University Medical Center EMS and Lubbock Fire Rescue by Friday were already offering boots-on-the-ground aid, with more aid on the way or in the works Saturday.
