ABILENE, TEXAS - The instruction from the guest speaker probably wasn’t necessary — most likely what he encouraged would have happened anyway.
Delvin Atchison, director of the Great Commission Team for the Baptist General Convention of Texas, opened the annual Cornerstone Lectures Tuesday morning at Hardin-Simmons University with a talk on “God of the Amazing.”
Before starting, he told the packed crowd in Behrens Auditorium that if they needed a little nudging for when to respond, he would help them by saying, “Insert ‘Amen’ here” ...
