SAN ANGELO, TEXAS - State officials are asking Texas to please hold off on sending donated items such as used clothing, miscellaneous household items, medicine or perishable foodstuffs to disaster areas at this time.

According to a news release from the Department of Public Safety, organizers are grateful for the massive influx of donated items, but they are making the request so they can free up volunteers and workers who have been kept busy dealing with relief supplies ...
