ODESSA, TEXAS - High holy days are upon the local Jewish community. The Jewish New Year Rosh Hashana concluded its celebration on Thursday. Now, Rabbi Jordan Parr prepares for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, which begins at sundown Sept. 29.
The Kol Nidre service led by Parr at Temple Beth El begins the 25-hour fast and practice for Yom Kippur.
