Midland Group Reports Chinese Christian, Democracy Activist Detained

The China Aid Association is a non-profit Christian organization - based in Midland, Texas - with a mission to uncover and reveal the truth about religious persecution in China, focusing especially on the unofficial church. They do this, they explain in their website, by exposing the abuses, encouraging the abused and equipping the saints to advance the kingdom of God throughout China.

"SICHUAN, CHINA – Christian and human rights activist Liu Xianbin was arrested on June 28, 2010 on suspicion of “inciting subversion of state power.” The day after his arrrest, authorities also harrased and threatened Liu's wife and 13-year-old daughter. Liu has been a long-time voice calling for reform in China, particularly regarding human rights and religious freedom."
