ABILENE, TEXAS - When ground was broken May 10 for a new Habitat for Humanity house on the corner of Anson Avenue and Simmons Street, the future homeowners were excited.
Nearly three months later, when the house was supposed to be nearing completion, construction hasn't started.
The delay was due to the project manager suffering a sudden illness, said Steven Leggett, Abilene Habitat for Humanity executive director.
However, Leggett said, a new project manager has been put in place and construction on the home should begin within the next 30 days ...
