ODESSA/MIDLAND, TEXAS - Doug Tull remembers the first year of Rock the Desert. It took place one night in 2000, about 2,000 to 3,000 kids showed up and there were about 15 volunteers.

Fast forward, 18 years later, Tull said Rock the Desert is probably about the fifth biggest Christian music festival in the country with about 500 volunteers.
