FBR Report: "Burma Army Soldiers Murder Villagers in Karen State"

The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) is a multi-ethnic humanitarian service movement. They bring help, hope and love to people in the war zones of Burma (Myanmar) and the Middle East. Groups send teams to be trained, supplied and sent into the areas under attack to provide emergency assistance and human rights documentation. Together with other groups, the teams work to serve people in need.

Dear friends,

On April 5, two Burma Army soldiers, Myint Wai and Nyaing Chan, from Infantry Battalion (IB) 339 fled their base camp in Annkwin Village (Noh Su Neh), in Win Ye Township, Doo Playa District. After escaping, they went to a local house around 3 a.m. and woke up the owners to get a motorbike. The motorbike owner and the soldiers quarreled and then the soldiers shot them and other villagers.
