Today in the PC-USA Mission Yearbook

The Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study is a daily devotional with 365 inspiring mission stories that come from next door and all across the globe. It inspires thousands of Presbyterians daily as they uphold the mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in intercessory prayer. The stories in the 2012 Mission Yearbook were gathered around the prayer of Paul for the Colossians, that these faithful brothers and sisters would bear fruit and grow in the knowledge of God (1:10).

UPPER OHIO VALLEY PRESBYTERY, OHIO AND WEST VIRGINIA - Upper Ohio Valley Presbytery's (UOVP) mission projects have a new emphasis. In 2010, the mission outreach committee made a conscious effort to define what mission can be. In the past, mission for the presbytery had been "let's go in and make ourselves known for a week and then disappear," but the winds of change have been blowing.

In September 2010, six members of the presbytery flew to Malawi to begin talking with the people of Domasi Presbytery, Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP). At the end of their stay, several partnership agreements were signed, and UOVP now has sister churches in Africa. In September 2011, three members of Domasi Presbytery came to the United States for a two-week visit so they could get a feel for life in Ohio and West Virginia. It was an exciting time for all involved .
