Today in the PC-USA Mission Yearbook

The Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study is a daily devotional with 365 inspiring mission stories that come from next door and all across the globe. It inspires thousands of Presbyterians daily as they uphold the mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in intercessory prayer. The stories in the 2012 Mission Yearbook were gathered around the prayer of Paul for the Colossians, that these faithful brothers and sisters would bear fruit and grow in the knowledge of God (1:10).

SYNOD OF ALASKA-NORTHWEST - A perfect combination of water, soil, and sun in specific regions produces Matanuska Valley cabbages, Eastern Washington apples, Palouse wheat, and Nagoon and Lingonberry berries in Alaska. Human beings do have a role in planting and pruning, but the berries grow wild and free.

Human beings have a role in the 268 congregations and 19 fellowships across the synod. They oversee the maintenance of divine worship and the celebration of the sacraments, but the new ministries and partnerships feel like they are growing wild and free. God is providing the grow
