G.R.O.W. ... A Photo Update
Grace Refuge Ooutreach World (GROW) started in the fall of 2009 with a vision to come alongside two extraordinary women who had taken in at-risk children in Thailand with no means of support or ideas of how to make it happen — other than to pray and trust in God to provide. On a trip to Thailand, Pastor Ivanildo Trindade met Sumitra “Faa” Choemue, and she shared her passion for children who are victims of physical and sexual abuse in Thailand. Later, Faa came to the U.S. and a board of directors who also shared Faa’s passion was assembled. In October of 2009 GROW was formed!
GROW's mission is to rescue at risk children and youth who are targets of the sex trade industry, by supporting, educating, and providing them with a safe place to live, grow, and learn about Christ.
A Photo Update
Faa returns home to Thailand and is reunited with her children after her travels to the U.S. and South Korea!
Faa wastes no time, but immediately begins investing in the children!
Work continues on the cafeteria whenever there is a break from the rain.
The rain is making everything green and helps the rice to grow!
A new connection is made when Pastor Dave and his team from Wisconsin meet Faa in Chaing Mai through mutual friends. They then traveled to Wiang Pa Pao to visit the G.R.O.W. campus where Faa, the staff and the children are delighted to welcome them.
Faa and Ning travel to Japan to share about G.R.O.W. Ning speaks to a group while Faa plays and sings in her Akha language. We are thankful for safe travels and great connections in Japan.
