MIDLAND, TEXAS - With a truck bed filled with used and broken bicycles, Gordon White has one thing in mind.

“So many kids want bikes for the holidays,” he said. “I knew I could help.”

White’s help was much more than merely refurbishing bicycles. With a homespun twist, he began the nonprofit Project Peddle Pusher, which has a mission to collect used youth bicycles, fix and clean them up and distribute to underprivileged children during the holidays ...
