MIDLAND, TEXAS - Every year, Stonegate Fellowship sends several teams into the tiny town of El Sunza, El Salvador. Like many other trips, Stonegate partners with a church already established in the area to help coordinate its efforts. The partnership may not be extraordinary, but the man leading the efforts in El Salvador is.
His name is Rafael Rosales, and he is a native Salvadoran. He grew up in Cuscatancingo, a suburb of the capital city, San Salvador. When he was 8, his family moved to nearby Nicaragua as Church of Christ missionaries.
