EASTERN OKLAHOMA PRESBYTERY - Eastern Oklahoma Presbytery has a deep commitment to leadership development, particularly in young adults. Having attended camp programs at Dwight Mission Presbyterian Camp and Retreat Center as children, many return as counselors-in-training or attend leadership training camps. There campers learn some of the skills required to be effective counselors and develop skills they can also use in their careers. “Participating in the leadership camps taught me how to facilitate discussions,” says Kristen Burton, history graduate student and former challenge-course facilitator.
