The Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study is a daily devotional with 365 inspiring mission stories that come from next door and all across the globe. It inspires thousands of Presbyterians daily as they uphold the mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in intercessory prayer. The 2014 Presbyterian Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study is devoted to the theme of young adults in the church. PRESBYTERY OF CARLISLE, PENNSYLVANIA - The mission advocacy committee of the Presbytery of Carlisle is constantly considering how best to promote mission—local, national, and international. For years, it has given mission grants to local organizations. Recently the committee also started making grants to heavily used food banks across the presbytery. In 2013 it assisted eight food banks and another nine organizations engaged in various ministries throughout the presbytery.
