ODESSA/MIDLAND, TEXAS - After at least five years of planning, plans to create a Catholic high school are poised to become a reality.
Michael Sis, bishop of San Angelo, approved the opening of a Catholic high school in the diocese February 25, Sister Elizabeth Swartz, superintendent of the Diocese of El Paso Catholic Schools, said in an email. Currently, students attending St. Mary’s Central Catholic School in Odessa and St. Ann’s Catholic School in Midland move on to public school or private school of a different denomination after elementary school.
This way, students would be able to get a complete Catholic education ...
