MIDLAND, TEXAS - The community will have the opportunity this week to come together for three nights of prayer and worship for the fourth annual AWAKE 7:14 event.

Led again by former First Baptist Midland pastor the Rev. Jim Denison, this year’s AWAKE will focus on cultural Christianity.

“This year, the focus of the discussions will be cultural Christianity or living in a culture that is sort of contradictory to what the Bible says that is growing more and more,” said Darrell Dunton, a member of the group that organized the event. “We’ll talk about how we can, as Christians, deal with that and live in that kind of world, but at the same time be a light and an example of Christ” ...
