In the News ... "Stonegate to host Honor Our Troops after Sunday services"

• Nonprofit has sent more than 41,000 care packages

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Stonegate Fellowship will partner with Permian Basin-based nonprofit Honor Our Troops to give its congregation the opportunity to sponsor care packages for soldiers Sunday after both of the church’s morning services.

For a donation of $25, the nonprofit sends a box containing 30 to 35 items ranging from toiletries and socks to CDs, magazines and snacks to a member of the military or to a military base in the name of the donor.

Additionally, donors may write a personal note and include a photo of themselves in the box so the soldier can see who sent the gift. In return, HOT provides the donor with an I.D. bracelet for the enlisted personnel who will receive the care package ...
