The Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study is a daily devotional with 365 inspiring mission stories that come from next door and all across the globe. It inspires thousands of Presbyterians daily as they uphold the mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in intercessory prayer. MINUTE FOR MISSION: DAY OF PENTECOST / THE PENTECOST OFFERING - I was asked, when I stood my examination before the presbytery, what I thought the most important mission field was in our day. I think people thought I should say Africa or maybe the Middle East. But I said that we should focus on the mission field right outside our doors; that all of us can do mission in the communities where we live, because some kind of ministry always needs doing, and the place we live is the place whose needs we know best.
