WAW Wednesdays: Prayer Requests and Father's Day Gifts

"The Word at Work is a ministry that mobilizes churches and individuals to answer God's call to minister to those in need," writes Rev. Tim Tam, Director of the Amarillo, Texas-based ministry. "Through our relationships, God reveals needs and opportunities for service. As we come along side the poor, new friendships develop and doors for ministry open. As we serve, God provides the resources to supply for the needs he reveals."

Prayer Requests and Father's Day Gifts

Friends,

Thank you for your prayers and inquiries into my recovery ... Lisa has been strongly encouraging me to follow Dr.'s orders, so here's hoping that tomorrow's follow up visit will reveal good healing progress and release from some of these pesky restrictions!

Right now in Belize, a group from Bethel Baptist Church in Alamogordo, NM is finishing up a roof for Pastor Lobos in the Valley of Peace. This team will also be meeting some of our ministry partners and exploring opportunities for ministry before heading to their island debrief Saturday.

We've received a prayer request from the Valley of Peace - would you please lift up the Amaya Family in prayer with us?

Finally - I've racked my brain for a pun about honoring our heavenly Father on Father's Day with this deal - but instead, I'll just throw it out to you, and hope you will take advantage of it while your shopping for Father's Day. In honor of Dad, shop at AmazonSmile through 6/15/14 and Amazon will donate an extra $5 to Word At Work!! CLICK HERE to get started. We are grateful for all of the ways you support The Word at Work!

Thanks for your time,

Tim Tam
