Teichert Family Update ... Growing Up in Africa!

The family of Karl and Jenny Teichert are serving the Lord as missionaries with OC Africa, in South Africa. They moved to Johannesburg in November, 1997 with their four children; Ann, Scott, Stephen and John. Karl serves as the Southern Africa Director of the Southern Africa Regional Team. Their vision is to see a healthy, Bible-based church established in every unreached village and community in South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia and beyond. Their strategy is to partner with key African church leaders to research, train, and mobilize the body of Christ to complete the Great Commission. They are striving to equip local leaders in Southern Africa to reach their nations for Christ and send missionaries into other countries as well.

Growing Up in Africa!

Dear Family and Friends,

Our OC Africa – Southern Africa team has taken two big steps in our growth as a ministry. The first step is the addition of five new South African board members. We are praising the Lord for the commitment of these godly men and women to assist our ministry team toward greater fruitfulness impact into the future. We are looking forward to how these diverse leaders will bring their wisdom, gifting, and experience to help our team better develop and mobilize Southern African workers into Africa and the world. Please pray for God’s wisdom as this new board better understands our ministry vision and helps develop new strategies to train, send, and sustain laborers in God’s harvest.

The second significant step for our OC Africa team was the invitation to become the fourteenth mobilization center of the OC Global Alliance (OCGA). Our board chairperson, Cliff Marshal, and Karl were honored to receive this official acceptance at the OCGA meetings on May 20, 2019, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

The OCGA is a voluntary association of mobilization centers with the purpose of sharing resources and experience to fulfill our common vision, mission, values, and strategy. Each mobilization center functions independently but is bound together with a commitment to partner with one another. Mutual trust, common vision, values, collaboration, and fundamental belief that the Holy Spirit can help multi-national teams work better together is what has made the OGGA successful.
