MIDLAND, TEXAS - During a time when we are all being asked to take individual actions to protect others, my hope is that this perspective of caring for our neighbors will motivate Midlanders to consider helping those in need in our community. As part of the group 100 Men Who Give A Damn About Midland, I have the privilege of hearing from local nonprofits about the great work they are doing right here in Midland. I have been blown away by the incredible programs they offer but also humbled to learn about the great need that exists for volunteers. The man who lives down the street needs you to help him learn to read. The young man at the mall needs an adult willing to help him with school work and show him that he matters to someone. The woman and her children at the park need basic toiletries and clothing as they struggle to overcome family violence and build a new life. By giving a little of your time, you can change these lives forever ...
