MIDLAND, TEXAS - Mayor Patrick Payton said Thursday that Midlanders and those around the Permian Basin should take responsibility for looking out for each other and that means wearing a mask and encouraging others to do the same.

The mayor put the focus on returning the community’s health to a time in March and April when Midlanders did what was needed at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic to keep their neighbors, co-workers and families safe.
