ABILENE, TEXAS - Even on her own time, Maura dela Cruz just can’t help but find ways to serve people.
Her day job is associate director of City Light Community Ministries, sponsored by First Baptist Church, of which dela Cruz is a member.
Later this month, for the third year, she will volunteer to help Home Again West Texas conduct its annual Point in Time survey of homeless people in Taylor County. The survey is required each January by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for agencies such as Home Again West Texas that provide a continuum of care for the homeless ...
