ODESSA, TEXAS - At First Presbyterian Church - Odessa, Sunday school is more than just reading the Bible, writing in a workbook or doing some small-scale crafts. It’s about going to the movies as well.
Nestled in the first floor of the 62-year-old church’s youth wing, a movie theater, complete with tiered rows of actual theater seats, is used by Sunday school students each week to learn more about the Bible.
Built about five years ago for First Presbyterian’s youth members, the Holy Word Theater puts an interesting spin on the usual Sunday school routine.
