In the News ... "Former NASA engineer faithfully sculpts 100,000 crosses"

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Witnessing miracles and healings in his life has emboldened Fred Meissner to gently portray God’s love and the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the artistry of the sculptured Christian cross.

“The people who really know the Lord have joy and holy peace,” said Meissner, an 80-year-old former electrical engineer at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

He figured that the cross, which he has artistically fashioned with an ordinary pocket-knife cut into indigenous and exotic woods such as oak, birch, driftwood, cottonwood, maple, mahogany, walnut and soapberry 100,000 times over more than 20 years, would awaken youngsters and seniors alike to its message.
