• First Baptist missions team reflect on trip to Kiev at height of revolution

ODESSA, TEXAS - When all around the Baptist church in Kiev, Ukraine seemed to be crumbling; when young people fighting against injustice in a revolution were being sniped by the dozens and when it could be easy to give up — the people of Ukraine through the work of Jesus showed the missions team from First Baptist Church of Odessa there was hope.

They believe in the power and sovereignty of Jesus Christ, who was right there with them during the two-week mission trip.

Just as the unrest was brewing, the eight members of First Baptist landed in Ukraine.
