MIDLAND, TEXAS - First United Methodist Church took a big step toward establishing a Hispanic ministry earlier this month when it brought the Rev. Moisés Isla to Midland from Cuba.
“We started this process almost two years ago and it was only recently that all of the visa and legalities got worked out,” said the Rev. Tim Walker, senior pastor at First United Methodist. “We wanted to do this because there is a rapidly growing Spanish-speaking and English-speaking Hispanic population growing in Midland.
