The Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study is a daily devotional with 365 inspiring mission stories that come from next door and all across the globe. It inspires thousands of Presbyterians daily as they uphold the mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in intercessory prayer. The 2014 Presbyterian Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study is devoted to the theme of young adults in the church. THE SYNOD OF THE NORTHEAST - The Synod of the Northeast includes 1,115 congregations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. In the fall of 2011 the synod assembly decided to enter into a season of discernment about its future direction and purpose. By the end of the first year, we had concluded that gathering at the regional level allowed presbyteries and their congregations to support one another and share resources and was therefore both necessary and desirable.
