"Socks & Underwear" Liturgy

The start of the 2016/2017 school year is just around the corner, and a variety of charitable efforts are under way NOW to provide clothes, school uniforms and school supplies for kids in need around Midland and other communities in West Texas.

That includes Grace Presbyterian Church of Midland, which has joined a multi-church effort contributing new clothing items to St. Andrews Presbyterian Mission. St. Andrew's exists as a loving, multicultural, Christian environment to serve, educate, and nurture Midland children and families in need.

Grace Presbyterian's responsibility was 'socks and underwear,' and we filled three baskets with donations. At today's worship service, during the Children's Sermon, Reverend Cheryl Homsher asked the congregation for some Socks & Underwear Liturgy, prayers and blessings for the gifts and especially for the youngsters who will receive those gifts.
