• Music minister cites ‘joyful noise,’ not tonal perfection, as most important

ODESSA, TEXAS - Leave it to other ministers to change churches every few years. The Rev. Benjamin Jefferson “Jeff” Cleere Jr. loved Chapel Hill Baptist Church upon becoming its part-time music minister in 1999 and has remained committed since his 2002 appointment to the post full-time.

Noting that he and his wife Vicki were particularly encouraged by the 1820 E. 52nd St. church’s affection for their autistic son, Cleere said, “I love to sing and lead people in worship ..."
