MIDLAND, TEXAS - Each holiday season, visitors to Midland College are greeted with festive decor and outdoor lights. But long before the first decorations are put into place, some longtime employees work behind the scenes to add elements that reflect the spirit of the season.
“It’s a group effort,” said Mary Lopez, an employee of 34 years. “It takes a little village.”
Lopez coordinates special events for MC and said several departments collaborate to decorate the campus for the holidays. Seasonal trimmings have made their way into several buildings, but the displays also extend to outdoor spaces ...
