ODESSA, TEXAS - The 24th year of the Empty Stocking Fund is ending and we have not quite met our $100,000 to help needy Odessans. Food baskets and toys were distributed Tuesday but there is still time to donate to this annual fundraising effort by the Odessa American and The Salvation Army.

An anonymous Odessan is challenging the community to raise another $30,000 to add to the current balance of $63,374. We are just about $6,600 short of the $100,000 goal with the matching $30,000 challenge ...
