In the News ... "Stonegate moves Christmas services for more community accessiblilty"

MIDLAND, TEXAS - Stonegate Fellowship Church is changing its celebration this year by offering Christmas worship services the weekend before the holiday instead of on Christmas Eve. The services will be accompanied by the church’s annual weekend of community-wide fun featuring hayrides, Christmas movies, popcorn and hot chocolate.

“On (Christmas Eve), it really felt more like a closed church environment, like (the celebration) was only for members of Stonegate Fellowship,” said Jake Russo, director of media relations at Stonegate. “We only advertised in-house and the tickets were only available in-house. Here, it will be community outreach on all three nights.”

For those worried about missing out on the Christmas Eve worship service they are used to, Russo noted the services will be in the “same style” as those traditionally held Dec. 24 ...
