In the News ... "Bible study group hopes to empower women"

ODESSA, TEXAS - About 26 women met at the Odessa Bible Church, 2110 E. 10th St. for the first women’s Bible study group this fall.

“It’s great,” Melanie Thayer, the organizer and pastor’s wife, said. “We share concerns and study specific women as examples every week.”

Adrianne Schwanke, founder of Shabby Chic Ministries, based in Dallas, was on hand for the first meeting.

Shabby Chic Ministries is a multicultural group of women who all come from different backgrounds all over the world, Schwanke said.
