SAN ANGELO, TEXAS - As of Jan. 27, Monsignor Michael Sis will succeed Bishop Michael Pfeifer as the new bishop of the Catholic Diocese of San Angelo.
Sis will be the sixth bishop of the diocese, which serves more than 77,000 Catholics across 29 counties in West and Central Texas. He is currently serving as Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Austin. His ordination and installation as the new bishop will take place at 2 p.m. Jan. 27 in San Angelo.
