ODESSA, TEXAS - It's the season of giving and the Salvation Army in Odessa has been working hard to give to the less fortunate. On Monday afternoon, the organization received a big gift of their own.
"Today (Monday) we had an anonymous donor come in and issue a dollar for dollar match. He is willing to offer up to $65,000," Joe Contreras, commanding Officer for the Salvation Army, said.
The mystery man said he would give that money to the Empty Stocking Fund, something the organization does every year. It not only helps give to those in need during Christmas but it also helps with their funds year round.
