Partners Blog: "The tenacity of love."

Steve and Oddny Gumaer started Partners Relief and Development in response to the needs of refugees and displaced people from Burma, and now in the Middle East, as well. Their mission is to demonstrate, through holistic action, God’s love to children and communities made vulnerable by war in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other conflict zones.

Do you ever get the feeling that there’s way more bad stuff happening in the world than good? In the areas where Partners is actively working it can seem that way. Just this past month, thousands more Rohingya have fled the violence occurring in western Myanmar, while in the north, thousands more have been displaced by increased fighting between the Kachin Independence Army and the Myanmar Army. Add this to the already staggering number of families displaced during Syria’s brutal civil war where our team has been providing relief and it seems completely reasonable to think that there’s no hope for change ...
