From @mmm_water ... 2019 Well Season: Daily Devotional

September 14 - October 28 is Marion Medical Mission Well Season for 2019. The season will include daily devotionals - one for each day the U.S. volunteers are overseas, sharing the love of Jesus by providing safe, clean, sustainable sources of drinking water to the extreme poor in sub-Saharan Africa. Marion Medical Mission is one of our mission partners at Grace Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas, and we STRONGLY encourage you to read these devotions to learn more about - and pray for! - their mission.

WITH SKILLS AND A PURPOSE
Jordan Banda
MMM Program Coordinator, Malawi

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Ephesians 2:10

As we seek to understand God's salvation by grace through faith, this verse offers tremendous insight into what God desires after salvation. God calls us His workmanship or His artwork. We are crafted with skills and a purpose by God for His purposes.Specifically we are created in Christ Jesus for good works, God's works do not give us salvation but they are absolutely meant to be the result of salvation.

Interestingly, God prepared what He wanted us to do for Him long ago. He has already planned what He wants us to do with our lives. He has a unique plan for each of us to serve Him in this world. This includes certain spiritual gifts and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives to lead us in service to Him.

God has blessed us so that we can do His will and not disgrace Him. Your participation in this life saving venture with MMM is not by mistake but purposefully. God created us differently not for us to fight one another but help each other in times of need. Only together can we be who God created us to be.........you are what you are because ofGod. God prepared this responsibility onto you long ago. Whatever you are doing in this mission trip is in His plan. Through MMM you are providing safe drinking water to many people whom you do not know and you will probably never meet in your entire life time. But God has chosen you for a reason. Thank you so much for prompt and optimistic response to His call.

May the good Lord continue showering lots of blessings onto you and your next generations to come so that His name shall continue rise up high forever and ever more.

Application Question: What does God wants me to do for Him?

Prayer: Dear God, Thank you ever so much for this program and your arrangement to involve people from all walks of life to participate in this mission. We know that you planned for all this and we don't take it for granted, your gesture is deeply appreciated. Continue blessing all those that are participating in this program: donors, volunteers, coordinators, field officers, builders and many more wherever they are. Protect and guide them so that this program will be a success.
