MIDLAND, TEXAS - Instead of using paintbrushes and power tools for personal art projects, a group of 20 students from Boston's Massachusetts College of Art and Design are working in Midland this week using their tools and talents for Habitat for Humanity.
"I wanted to do something with my spring break that was productive. I was tired of sitting at home on the couch doing nothing," said Lexi Grahame, a junior at Mass Art participating in this year's alternative spring break trip.
Having never worked on home construction and building projects before, Grahame said she's really enjoyed working with her peers on a Habitat for Humanity home in the 1300 block of East Hamby Avenue.
