EDITOR'S NOTE: A mission team from First Presbyterian Church of Midland, Texas, has recently returned to the United States from a triip to Thailand. I will be sharing some daily notes from their trip.
It has been a busy but very productive trip thus far. We have had the opportunity to visit with many of our Thailand ministry partners over the last week and we feel that it has been beneficial for all involved. Below is a summary of where we have been and what we have done . . ..

Kerrine with Partners drove us to Mae La Refugee Camp. We were taken to one of Partners Relief and Devlopment's children’s homes – one of the larger ones where there is a school associated with the home. We were toured by Henry – a delightful man who is in charge of this home and school. We met will the secondary students and gave a brief introduction to them of who we were and where we were from before conducting a “spur of the moment” activity session. We had the students do the “Draw a Tree” personality test and talked a little about what their trees mean. Very interesting drawings that tell quite a bit about these students. (We asked if we could bring them back to the states and have our youth pray over them.) We still had more time to “work” with the students so we sent them out to take pictures of their lives inside the camp. After teaching them briefly how to use the cameras we sent them out to record whatever they felt told a story about camp life. After about half an hour they brought back their images and we talked with them. It was very enlightening for us to see what they photographed.
After lunch, we went to Pastor Simon’s and spent the rest of the afternoon with him at the newly rebuilt Bible College (it burned down last April). He told us his story and the background of the Bible College. We ended our visit with a brief meeting with some of the students at the Bible College a they sent us off with a beautiful Karen song.
It has been a busy, busy trip but very productive. We will visit the development farm in Mae Sot area this morning and fly back to Chiang Mai this afternoon.
That’s it for now. Keep praying for the team – safe travels, health and focus.
