There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe
John 1:6-7

John the Baptist spent his life preaching to people, telling them to look forward to the day when their Messiah would arrive. He was a prophet, sent by God to testify about Jesus. In a sense, all of us owe our Christmas celebration to John's testimony. Would people have been ready to believe in Jesus if they had not been able to believe John?

He also pastored churches in Midland and Mansfield, Texas, and in Atlanta, Georgia.
