SYNOD OF THE COVENANT - One important objective of the mission plan for the Synod of the Covenant is to nurture and embrace youth.

The average age of a Presbyterian is 62. Our congregations seem to be focused mostly on financial survival, day-to-day management of aging buildings, and outdated programs and ministry models. Our educational and discipleship programs usually lack the segments of the population that are critical to the revival and longevity of the church. Youth and young adults are becoming extinct in our Sunday-morning church experience. Both parents and church leaders seem helpless to reverse this trend.
