The letter, translated and edited by China Aid below, compares the April 28 demolition of Sanjiang Church to the March 2001 demolition of the Bamiyan Buddha statues in Afghanistan by the Taliban. The Sanjiang Church building was demolished after thousands of Christians had gathered to guard the church.
