How do seeds help children?

Steve and Oddny Gumaer started Partners Relief & Development in response to the needs of refugees and displaced people from Burma. Their mission is to demonstrate, through holistic action, God’s love to children and communities made vulnerable by war in Burma.

In a camp for internally displaced people in northern Burma, both adults and children know all too well what it feels like to starve.

Now, because of your generosity and partnership with us, they also know the joy of harvesting some fresh green beans, a pumpkin or some fragrant herbs from the field by the camp they reside in. For the past three years, while the Burma Army has been attacking Kachin villages, we have helped the survivors continue farming for their own livelihood.

Partners Relief and Development is a registered charity in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States, working with communities impacted by war in Burma.
